Frequently Asked Questions
Will you poach my client or try to sell them monthly services?
Never. We work strictly on a project basis, QBO cleanup only. We do not provide monthly bookkeeping, tax preparation or ongoing compliance services. Our sole focus is helping accounting professionals cleanup their clients' QBO files without competing for their ongoing work.
How does communication with the client work?
You can choose the approach that best suits you:
- In a referral partnership, we communicate directly with the client to gather what we need for the cleanup, removing the admin burden from your desk.
- In the white-label arrangement, we work behind the scenes as your silent technical resource.
What if the file need more work than expected?
This is exactly why we require a diagnostic before quoting. We do not take on cleanup work without a thorough review. Our flat-rate proposal is based on what we actually find with the $350 diagnostic fee being credited toward the cleanup if you engage us.
Which accounting software do you work in?
Exclusively QuickBooks Online.
What the costs of a cleanup?
After the diagnostic, you receive a fixed-price quote; single-entity cleanups typically start at $2,500.
What about project timelines?
This will be established after the diagnostic; the typical project referred to above can be completed 2 weeks from start, subject to complexity of the file.
What if my file needs more than 2 weeks?
The diagnostic tells us that upfront. If the file needs a longer timeline, we quote that clearly before any work begins.
What if you can’t make my deadline?
Where we cannot meet your deadline because of existing workload or file complexity , we say so upfront and decline the engagement. We will not take on work we can’t deliver.
What does the diagnostic actually involve?
We scrutinize the QBO file closely — prior tax return, Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, bank and credit card reconciliation status, uncategorized/ miscellaneous transactions, chart of accounts setup, other red flags such as unnatural ledger account balances, duplicate entries and miscoded equity transactions. Within 48hrs, you receive a written scope showing what’s broken, what it will take to fix it, the cost and the timeline.
